Privacy Policy
wheretodigwell.com · version 1.1 · Last updated 20 July 2026
This policy explains what data we process when you use wheretodigwell.com (the “Service”) and why.
We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Milan Radulović (Podgorica, Montenegro). Contact:
info@wheretodigwell.com.
2. What we process
- Coordinates you enter or click. Used only to compute the estimate for that point.
They are not used to identify you, and free estimates are not stored.
- Locations you unlock (paid). When you spend a credit to unlock a location, we store
that location's coordinates together with your unlock code. This is necessary to deliver what
you paid for: to show your unlocked locations, let you return to them, and generate the
included report — and to prevent charging you twice for the same location. Legal basis:
performance of our contract with you. If your unlock code is linked to an email address (from
your purchase), these locations are indirectly linked to you. You can ask us to delete them at
any time (see section 5) — note this also removes your access to those unlocked locations.
- Optional photo. If you attach a site photo for a detailed report, it is resized in
your browser and sent to the AI provider (Google) for analysis. It is not stored on our server.
- Optional terrain answer. A short, non-personal description of the terrain, used only
to improve the report.
- Mailing list (optional). If you subscribe, we store your email address (with your
consent) to send occasional product updates. We do not share or sell it, and you can
unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@wheretodigwell.com.
- Local storage. Your selected report language is stored in your browser (localStorage),
not on our server. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
- Server logs. Access logging that records coordinates is disabled. Standard,
short-lived technical logs may exist at the infrastructure level for security and reliability.
- Payment data (when payments launch). Handled entirely by our Merchant of Record
(Paddle). We do not receive or store your card details.
3. Third parties
- Google (Gemini AI + Maps links): generates the optional detailed report and resolves
shared map links; receives the data needed for that request (including an attached photo, if any).
- EOX, Mapbox and OpenFreeMap: serve the map tiles (satellite and map layers).
- OpenStreetMap / Nominatim: resolves the place name if you use the search box.
- Paddle.com (Merchant of Record): processes payments and handles tax.
- Resend: delivers our transactional emails (your unlock code and, if applicable, your
report) — it processes your email address and the attached files on our behalf.
- Hosting/CDN providers: deliver the Service.
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data.
International transfers. Some of these providers (e.g. Google, Paddle, Resend) are based
in, or process data in, countries outside the European Economic Area — including the United States.
Where that happens, the transfer is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses
and/or an adequacy decision (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework), together with the
safeguards those providers apply. You can ask us for details at
info@wheretodigwell.com.
4. Legal basis & retention
We process the above to provide the Service you request (performance of a service) and to keep
it secure. Coordinates of free estimates and any photos are processed transiently for the
request and are not retained by us.
Retention. Coordinates of unlocked (paid) locations are kept together with your
unlock code for as long as that code is valid (report packs: credits valid 12 months; Business
packages: 30 months), so you can return to your locations and generate the reports you paid for.
After that, these unlocked locations are deleted automatically — at the latest about
36 months after purchase (i.e. once your credits' validity has ended, plus a grace period).
Purchase
records (unlock code, credits, and the email used) are kept as long as needed for support,
accounting and legal obligations. You can also request deletion at any time (section 5).
5. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete
personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We do not maintain user accounts or
build personal profiles. If you have only used the free estimate, we hold no personal data tied to
you. If you purchased credits or subscribed, we hold your email address, your unlock code and the
locations you unlocked — you can ask us to access or delete these at any time (deleting your
unlocked locations also removes your access to them). For any request, contact
info@wheretodigwell.com.
6. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; the version and date above will change accordingly.
This Privacy Policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
